PPH

Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (PPH) is referred to as a silent killer, because millions of Americans are currently afflicted with high blood pressure and are unaware of it. In approximately 90% of hypertension cases, here is no identifiable cause. If PPH can be attributed to a specific cause, it is referred to as Secondary Pulmonary Hypertension. Many times, PPH is caused by taking diet pills.

Specific causes of PPH remain unknown, but doctors and researchers have confirmed an increase of diagnoses among users of Fen-Phen and other diet pills. People who have taken Fen Phen and other diet pills have shown more severe cases of PPH, wiwth may cases leading to premature death. The disease has affected a countless number of the millions of people who were taking diet pills, before the recall of Fen Phen in the late 1990s.

Currently cases of PPH are still being diagnosed. Often times with PPH diagnosis it not immediate because early PPH symptoms are easily mistaken for other causes. This delay in diagnosis results in the disease progressing to late stages without proper treatment.
